Https youtu be gtoqsztmxgs my weekend project by using some material that i bought from the paint shop where i work.
Create wood grain effect paint.
Start at one end of the stroke and keep going in one continuous motion to the other end.
Base painting the parts in your preferred base colour such as tamiya deck tan or other colour depending on whether you are looking to create darker wood effects like mahogany or lighter ones like teak.
Continue stroke after stroke wiping the picked up glaze from the rocker as you go along.
Slide a wood graining rocker through the wet glaze rocking it slowly at intervals to create a wood grain effect.
Spruce up forgettable furnishings or bare walls with the faux bois technique which results in paint that looks just like wood.
If painting engineered wood such as mdf.
Hope you enjoy it.
A selection of oil paints.
Burnt sienna raw umber etc brushes ideally a flat brush to help create the wood grain effect.
